ATHENS, Ga. (Jan. 11, 2010) – PADGETT BUSINESS SERVICES® has once again been ranked in the Franchise 500® by Entrepreneur Magazine. This is the 22nd year since 1987 that Padgett has been ranked as one of the top franchise systems listed in the annual ranking issue.
For 31 years, through its Franchise 500® program, Entrepreneur Magazine has rated franchisors based upon many factors; the most important being financial strength, stability, growth rate, size of the system, as well as the number of years in business and the number of years in franchising.
Through it’s North American network of more than 400 locally owned and operated
franchised offices, PADGETT BUSINESS SERVICES® caters to the needs of small business owners and individual tax payers by providing business advice and consultation, tax consultation and preparation, government reporting compliance, financial reporting and complete payroll services.
PADGETT BUSINESS SERVICES® is ranked 107th in Entrepreneur Magazine’s 2010
listing of the top 500 franchisors. “We consider this a great honor, especially when you take into consideration the fact that there are several thousand existing franchisors” said Steve Rafsky, CEO.
“We are proud that we offer our franchise owners immediate and ongoing access to
meaningful continuing education, an impressive corporate support staff, effective online support, proven marketing training, up-to-date technology solutions and innovative reporting,” said Rafsky.
Padgett is also proud to be ranked 31st in the home-based business category, 87th in the category of America’s top global franchises, and 102nd in the category for fastest growing franchises.
MORGAN HILL WINS PADGETT SCHOLARSHIP
Colorado Springs, CO - Morgan Hill is the winner of the local 2008 Padgett Business Services Foundation Scholarship, announced Espen Jansen, CPA, owner of the local Padgett office.
"The candidates for this $500 scholarship are always exceptional; however, Morgan has strong personal and scholastic attributes that stand out amongst the other applicants," said Jansen. "She not only has an outstanding grade-point average and excellent college aptitude test scores, but also shows leadership in extracurricular activities. Further, her future scholastic and career plans are admirable."
A student at Air Academy High School, Morgan plans to attend University of Colorado at Boulder.
In order to qualify for the scholarship, applicants must be the dependent of an independent business owner. "At Padgett Business Services, we are sensitive to the needs of small business owners," commented Jansen. "One of their major concerns is adequate funding for their children's education. We believe we are supporting this important need through this program."
Morgan is the daughter of Steven and Mary Ann Hill who own and operate Glenn's Army Surplus. She is now eligible to compete for one of the two $1,000 national awards and the $2,000 international grand prize.
